Where Carrot Care is stronger

Carrot Care advertises 1,000-plus biomarkers with reference ranges, a phenotypic (biological) age, Blood Score, Body Score and health panels. Its App Store listing describes retest reminders, dated milestones on biomarker charts, a preferred display unit per biomarker, a short clinician PDF and a Visit Brief that prepares discussion prompts for a clinician visit. Health data stays on the iPhone, with optional iCloud backup, and Premium users can export CSV. On the US App Store, its yearly prices are lower than Health3’s. Health3 offers no scores, biological age or CSV export.

Where Health3 is stronger

Health3 is a blood test tracker for iOS and Android. Supported lab result PDFs and report photos go into one history, extracted values are reviewed before saving, and 300+ biomarkers can be tracked over time. Health3 also offers lifestyle journal entries, reference sources, biomarker relationships and report export. On iOS, supported Apple Health Clinical Records can also be imported. Health3 provides educational context and does not diagnose or recommend treatment. Health3 is currently available on iOS and Android. The web app is temporarily unavailable. Ongoing automated report scanning requires Premium; onboarding access and offers are shown in the mobile app.

Health3 runs on Android as well as iOS, and its account keeps one history across devices. Each import shows the extracted values for review before saving. Health3 is not a substitute for Carrot Care’s scores or its on-device storage model.

Storage and processing

Carrot Care’s App Store listing says health data is stored locally and never leaves the device, with an iCloud backup option. Its privacy policy says data sent for OCR recognition is processed on Google servers and deleted automatically after recognition, and that its manual recognition service uses Amazon and Google Mail. Its FAQ says data cannot be recovered if iCloud backup was never enabled and the app is deleted or the phone is lost, and that the app uses Amplitude for limited usage analytics.

Your Health3 account uses cloud storage and server processing for report imports. The privacy policy explains service providers, retention, analytics choices and account deletion. Health3 privacy policy. These are vendor disclosures, not independent security audits.

Medical boundary

Carrot Care’s FAQ says the app does not provide specific health or medical recommendations and should not be considered medical advice. Health3 does not diagnose, prescribe, order tests or recommend treatment. Clinical questions about any result belong with a qualified professional.
